the gathering pool was started in 2008 by Ryan Cox guitarist of prog-rock heavy-hitters fluid from Portland Oregon. the gathering is a one-man band, all material is written and performed by Ryan Cox. the gathering pool released a box set last year on iTunes titled 8 years: a collection of time. they’re set to begin work on the newest album due out by Christmas 2018 titled i-ORION. this album will be crowdfunded and crowd written as well. anyone who donates to get the album done will be given a spot at the writer’s table period each month video conferences will be held between all the donators to listen to updates and talk about ideas for songs and album artwork etc. if you would like to donate to the I-Orion album and be featured as a collaborator or writer or artist please email info@mediamultitool.com

Media Multi-Tool

Ryan Christopher is an American musician, multimedia producer, and writer. Born and raised in Alaska, he spent his years learning a variety of instruments starting at the age of 7. Ryan has played in many groups both professionally and independently. He made his break in the progressive rock band Fluid after working with producer Page Hamilton, founder of Helmet and guitarist of David Bowie. After the birth of his son, he began spending more time at home focusing on what he had learned as a working musician. Living the DIY Musician’s lifestyle forced him to learn many jobs a record label would have an entire department for. His love and an innate skill for producing digital art and music led him to start The Media Multi-Tool, which embodies and combines his wealth of knowledge, professionally trained skills and real-life experience into a human “Swiss Army knife” of the modern digital media realm.
